[ Mitsuba had been in such a comfortable position with Sougo's head in her lap that it almost felt like everything else just faded in the background. She didn't notice the cat sounding a little too active, and she didn't notice the door opening either. It was just her and her brother having a nice chance to connect again

Until there was a new voice in the room that is...

It made her jump a little and her fingers pause mid-stroke as she turned her head a little to see if she could spot who it came from. ]

Sou-chan?

[Oh no. Back to reality. If only he could have stayed like this with Mitsuba forever instead of having his muscles-for-brains roommate barge in...

Sougo sits up, trying to maintain his composure in front of his sister. Let's get this over with. At least the bazooka's there in the corner, waiting...]

Aneue, this is my roommate, Caesar Zucchini.

[That's your name now, Caesar. Would you have the gall to correct this cute girl?]

Caesar-chan, this is my older sister. She just arrived here.

[He says so matter-of-factly to the other man, and he'll let Mitsuba introduce herself. Once Sougo is sure Mitsuba isn't looking, he glares at Caesar. It's a warning. Mess with his sister, and you'll be the victim of his wrath.]

[He has no idea how to start unpacking 'This is my older sister' coming from a man he thought was born alone in the pits of hell and the weirdly serene scene in front of him. Sougo, historically, has never been a part of a quiet moment.

And the thing is-

His sister is deceptively cute-acting in such a demure, gentle way that feels like a trick when he knows the hellion that's her brother. Caesar is, pointedly, ignoring every sharp glare his way because he's a spiteful man. One that doesn't give two shits if Sougo's giving him a warning.

But he won't let down his guard quite yet-not while this beautiful woman has yet to speak and he's unsure if she'll follow her brother's lead in attitude.

There's a cautious edge to his voice, though it lacks the initial bite he had when it was only Sougo he was talking to. A soft smile falls across his face and his entire demeanor shifts for this new arrival.]

Caesar Zeppeli. Sougo-chan never spoke of being related to such a lovely flower.

[And just like that-fuck you Sougo. He doesn't even know what the chan means-he just assumes it's an insult and he's ready to throw it back.]

And who might you be, bella?

[spicycracker]

[ Unfortunately for Sougo, when she hears the 'sougo-chan' it just makes her think that the two of them were much better friends than Sougo first told her. Maybe he was just being shy about having such a lovely friend! She let out a soft laugh, trying to hide her smile for a moment, then bowing her head in Caesar's direction. ]

Okita Mitsuba. As Sou-chan said, I am his older sister. Sou-chan has told me a bit about you, but you seem a lot more friendly than I first imagined.

[ Slowly she slides off the couch so she could stand and give him a more proper bow instead. ]

Thank you for sharing this place, and taking such good care of my brother.

[Caesar, you idiot. Look what you just did. Of course Mitsuba would think they're the best of friends when you do that. Sougo only wanted to make Caesar look "cute" to emasculate him in front of his sister, but that clearly backfired.

Well, now they can't go back. Mitsuba can't know her baby brother is the worst roommate ever.

Sougo rightfully expected Mitsuba to be her normal polite self, but he won't let Caesar take advantage of her. It would be weird to see, but if Aneue wanted to ho it up on Prismatica, Sougo would be happy as long as she's happy. But not with Caesar (or Hijikata, for that matter, but it's a complicated story). No meatball heads are allowed for Mitsuba.

As she bows, he makes dead-on eye contact with his roommate. Don't ignore him. Sougo then makes a slicing motion with his hand across his neck.

Meanwhile, that cat has gotten impatient for his food. He scratches at Caesar's bag, being noisy once again.]

[casaposa]

[She's-

Normal.

She's normal and that is only offset by the abnormal nightmare behind her, making his presence known when she bows down to give him a nonverbal threat. Interesting, Caesar notes, how he's just on his best behavior around his sister.]

Sou-chan.

[He repeats it once-testing it on his lips as future ammo.]

It's a pleasure to meet you, Mitsuba. I hope you plan to stay for some time-you can see with your own eyes how well I treat your brother. He's-

[An embodiment from hell? An actual nightmare? A demon? Someone born to torment him specifically?]

Certainly here.

[He exists. And that's as nice as Caesar's going to be right now.]

[ What an interesting way to show how much they adore each other!! It must mean their friendships are just that strong. Oh, it touches her heart so much to know Sougo made a new friend, and one as charming as this. It would be good for him.

She laughs softly, trying to hide her laughter behind her hand a little. ]

Then I suppose the two of us will get to learn more about each other a lot easier. Sou-chan was kind enough to let me stay here.

[ She gives another respectful bow. ]

I hope to get along with you for as long as I'm allowed.

[Aneue, noooooooo, they're not friends...! Don't get to know Caesar better, he's going to take that as an innuendo! It's okay. She doesn't know any better. The beefy idiot, on the other hand, 100% knows what he's doing. What kind of idiot is Caesar to use an honorific in a language he doesn't even speak? Well, it's not like Sougo wouldn't do the same thing. They may be stupid, but they'll be on their best behavior around Mitsuba, at least.

Ugh, it looks like Caesar's not going to take Sougo's threats seriously, huh? Maybe he should actually make good on them. His bazooka's still in the living room, after all...something to think about. But Sougo decides to keep that up his sleeve for now, until the right opportunity. Let's have Mitsuba torment Caesar herself...]

Aneue, how about we can have a welcome meal with all of us?

[And Aneue can show Caesar how to enjoy food. :)]

Of course, Mistuba. You're a special member of this household now. I'm sure we'll become quite close in time.

[And yeah, Sougo, he means exactly what that implies.

He's so goddamn suspicious of every word that comes out of that hobgoblin's mouth that when he has the audacity to suggest they all share a meal, like they're some kind of family, it forces him to take his eyes off of the beauty in front of him.]

And that's a good idea, Sou-chan.

[He's being so complacent and good though. The dinner is bound to be a disaster once she takes her eyes off them, but for now?]

What type of food do you like, bella? I'll make whatever you wish.

[spicycracker]

Oh, I wouldn't really say I'm all that picky when it comes to food. It's just a little disappointing if it doesn't have a tiny kick of spice to it though. Oh, but... do you enjoy spicy food, Zepelli-san?

[ Even if he did, could he say no to this face? This soft face giving him the sweetest look right now? ]

[Oh hell no, Mitsuba and Caesar won't become close, not if Sougo can help it. At least Caesar will make sure Mitsuba has food. If Caesar is willing to feed his sadistic roommate, there's no reason why he won't feed Sougo's angelic sister. Because Aneue deserves that good Italian food!

At Mitsuba's question, Sougo quickly jumps in before Caesar can answer.]

Caesar-chan likes food even spicier than you!

[Sougo beams at both Aneue and Caesar. This face is probably scarier than his death threat earlier. Your move, fucker.]
